New Orleans French Quarter Garden District
I thought the Garden Distric was a bit overrated, nevertheless, it was quite interesting. The Garden District originated after Louisiana was purchased by the US, when many Americans moved into the area. Some made considerable fortunes, but as non-creole outsiders, were not allowed in the aristocratic French Quarter. Thus, they chose this area to build their mansions, giving birth to the Garden District.
