NASHVILLE

From D.C., I took the beltway to I-66 west, to get on I-81 south. Eventually, and for no apparent reason, I-81 transubstantiates into I-40 and heads west (maybe it is because you can't have an odd numbered interstate running "horizontally"). I can't say that Nashville was at the top on my list of must-see places of the world, but it did have the virtue of being on my planned route. And I did have some curiosity about the country music capital of the world, what I didn't expect was to find the world's only life-size replica of a very famous building.
I do recommend the museum of country music -unfortunately they do not allow taking photographs inside (I must have taken that shot of Elvis's Cadillac by accident -I hate it when that happens!)

After paying my respects to Nasville, I hopped back into I-40, and headed for Memphis.
