MEMPHIS

A long, long, time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I drove through Memphis.
Back then, I had recently read and seen "The Firm" and I remember I was very intrigued by the town. From reading the book, that is. I wanted badly to go for a walk and get a feel for the city, the river -and of course, see Graceland for myself. Unfortunately I didn't have the time. Well, I finally got my wish, but due to the season, the Mud Island River Park was closed, so I couldn't get to see the Mississippi River Museum -it is supposed to be a very neat place to learn about the history of this very interesting river.

Downtown

I was surprised by the lack of skyscrapers in downtown Memphis. If you have any insights, by all means feel free to share them. OK, I was just told that "if a true skyscraper was built in Memphis, it would sink or end up like the leaning tower of piza. Our soil just doesnt have the support of bedrock." Thanks HAZEfromtheBHZ!

Beale Street: BB King's own blues club

Beale street is supposed to be the hot spot in town. BB himself performs in this club on occasion.

Graceland

I took millions of pictures of Graceland, and I think it merits its own page, so when I get around to building it, I'll place a link here to that page. If you happen to have an emergency and need Graceland pictures right away, let me know and I'll email you some.
